Our modular plugs are designed with gold plated contacts in a clear plastic housing. Used for termination of line cords for patching or connecting telephones and network equipment to work area outlets. We offer modular plugs used in all standard configurations that are designed for flat stranded cable and twisted pair stranded or solid cable applications.
CATEGORY 5e
Category 5e cable is used in structured cabling for computer networks. The cable provides performance of up to 100 MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, and 1000BASE-T for distances of up to 100 meters.
CABLING STANDARDS
Network cabling standards are used internationally and are published by ISO/IEC, CENELEC and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). Since 1995, solid-conductor UTP cables for backbone cabling is required to be no thicker than 22 AWG and no thinner than 24 AWG, or 26 AWG for shorter-distance cabling.
