The 1000BASE-SX SFP transceiver offers a low-priced replacement for Gigamon SFP-502 without lowering the quality of your fiber optic network connectivity. It is OPTCORE new SFP module made by a third-party manufacturer rather than Gigamon to provide a cheaper transceiver with the same high-quality. This compatible SFP-502 supports 1G connectivity up to a maximum distance of 550m over multimode fiber (MMF) at a wavelength of 850nm. This compatible SFP transceiver has been programmed and tested to work as the original Gigamon SFP-502 1000BASE-SX SFP optics. It is suitable for Gigamon network switches, routers, firewalls, security gateway, fiber media converter, servers, NAS, accelerator card, network adapters and interface card (NICs).
